In 1946 Anglicans with a vision set apart Huron Church Camp as a joy-filled place for children and youth to live and play together, learn, grow and develop leadership skills, all while immersed in the beauty and wonder of creation. Renamed camp Huron in 2020, for seventy-five years the sounds of laughter, song, prayer and play has reverberated under a canopy of leafy green trees, sunshine and starry, starry night skies
Located just south of Bayfield Ontario, we enjoy a 38-acre site filled with grassy fields, shady woods, a leafy ravine and a sandy beach, on the sunny shores of Lake Huron.
We also rest under 38 acres of dark night sky with spectacular views of the stars. This image of the Pleiades constellation was taken by a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, Kitchener-Waterloo Chapter during one of their semi-annual Star Parties at the camp.
Our Huron County beach known as Ontario’s West Coast, is home to some of the most spectacular sunsets!
We welcome campers to a place of awe-inspiring beauty, a place to learn about themselves in relation to God, to others and the world all around them, a place to explore, a place to dream, a place to belong.
Welcome to wonder!
