This page should be used to test the setup for new blocks. By using this page you are avoiding adding untested items to a live page. Once the test has proven to work as you planned you can add it to the live page.
There are two ways to do this:
1) The simple Copy and Paste option. Click on the three dots next to the specific Block in List View and select “Copy”. Then open the page/post in the Gutenberg editor, go to where you want to add the block, create a new “Paragraph” block and paste from the clipboard into the Block. This will work most of the time.
2) Save the Block as a Pattern (also works for a group of Blocks). This is usefully if you think you might need to use the Block more than once. Once the Block works as you planned click on the three dots to the right of the Block (or Group of Blocks) in the List View and select “Create Pattern”. A Pattern window will appear. Under Name add a descriptive name, then turn off Sync (NOTE: if Sync is on all instances of the Pattern will have the exact same parameters and a change will affect them all. If Sync is off each instance of the Pattern will be unique and have its own settings). Then is the page/post you want to add the Block to you simply add the Pattern (the same way you add a Block but from the Patterns section).
